2012 Chateauneuf du Pape Clos de l'Oratoire les Choregies 2012 Ogier

£ 79.97

From the very good 2012 vintage and scoring 91/100 Parker points, "The estate’s special cuvée, the 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape Les Choregies is a smoking blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah that spends 14 months in 80% new demi-muids and 20% in 300-liter barrels. It possesses a deep purple color to go with ripe, decadent notes of mulled dark fruits, wild herbs, roasted meats and hints of gaminess on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, ripe, balanced and textured, it has rock solid mid-palate depth and building tannin, all saying it will evolve nicely for over a decade. It’s well worth checking out."
